La Fine del Mondo is not a wine you plan—it's one you wait for. Produced only in the best years, it comes from late-harvested grapes from a vineyard planted in 1926. It requires a long, dry summer, clear skies, and the north wind to keep the vines dry and healthy.
After harvest, a slow and extended fermentation transforms high sugar levels into balance and depth. Every bottle is a testament to trust in nature.
Deep dark ruby red turning garnet with age. The bouquet is intense: cherry, marasca, black cherry, plum, forest berries, jam, with notes of liquorice, black pepper, leather, coffee, and a balsamic touch.
On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping and warm, with a well-balanced acidity and a long, deep finish. A complex and rewarding experience.
Excellent with red meats, roasts, game, lamb, aged cheeses, and mushroom-based dishes.
