Winery Cordeuil Pere & Fille
Maison Cordeuil Père & Fille is a charming family-run business with a tradition of no fewer than three generations. Located in Noé-les-Mallets, in the picturesque Côte des Bars region, this winery is a real jewel in the wine-making landscape.
It all began in 1985, when Gilbert, after a long training alongside his father Raymond, took over responsibility for the winery. Today, the management is in the expert hands of Gilbert Cordeuil and his passionate daughter Erlande. The company covers an area of 4.2 hectares, embracing the hills of Noé les Mallets, Fontette and Ville sur Arce.
But what makes Maison Cordeuil Père & Fille truly special is the attention they pay to the environment. Indeed, in 2019, they obtained organic certification for their entire vineyard, demonstrating their dedication to cultivating and producing champagne in a sustainable manner, respecting nature and valuing biodiversity.
But the wonders of Maison Cordeuil Père & Fille do not end there. To ensure that their champagnes reach a higher level of harmony, they decide to let the bottles rest on the lees for at least 6 years. This process, known as 'sur lie', allows slow fermentation and greater aromatic complexity. In addition, this technique reduces the amount of dosage required, resulting in a more balanced champagne with a fuller flavour.
