Winery Podere Ruggeri Corsini
Podere Ruggeri Corsini is a picturesque winery located in the heart of the Langhe region, in Monforte d'Alba, founded by Nicola and his family. This family-run winery embarked on its journey when Nicola and his family decided to leave their academic careers as researchers at the Faculty of Agriculture in Turin to pursue their dream of owning a small vineyard.
The name "Corsini" comes from the charming village of Monforte d'Alba where the winery is situated, while the surname "Ruggeri" pays tribute to Nicola's mother, who believed in their dream and supported them financially in starting the business.
Initially specializing in the Langhe's great classics such as Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, and Barolo, Podere Ruggeri Corsini expanded its range over the years by introducing new wines, including reds, rosés, and whites. The initial production of 6000 bottles in 1996 saw considerable success, with the majority of bottles sold internationally.
Currently, Podere Ruggeri Corsini's wines are distributed in various international markets, with the United States being the main destination, followed by countries such as Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Japan, Australia, Luxembourg, Hong Kong, and, of course, Italy.
A distinctive feature of the winery is its commitment to environmental sustainability. Podere Ruggeri Corsini has implemented various initiatives, such as using lightweight bottles, installing a phytodepuration system, employing thermal and photovoltaic solar panels, and cultivating vineyards in a certified environmentally sustainable manner (European SQNPI Certification). This focus on sustainability reflects the winery's dedication to environmental protection and the responsible production of high-quality wines.
