Winery Dellerba
La cantina Dellerba, located on the charming hill of Santa Brigida in Pinerolo, is an authentic treasure of winemaking tradition and family passion. With over 6000 square meters of vineyards, mainly cultivated with the native varieties Freisa and Barbera, the Dellerba family produces excellent wines, among which stand out the Brigit Neir and the Bifa d'Bosch.
What makes this winery unique is the deep attention to the environment and the focus on sustainability in all stages of production. The choice of cultivation methods reflects this philosophy, with vineyard fertilization occurring through the use of manure produced by the Piemontese cattle breeding of the same family. This practice not only contributes to the health of the vines but also emphasizes the commitment to an ecological farming approach.
Soil care is equally significant, with rows that do not undergo invasive treatments but are instead plowed to promote better soil respiration and optimal infiltration of rainwater. This practice not only directly benefits the quality of the grapes but also contributes to enriching the underground aquifers, promoting water sustainability in the surrounding area.
The winery itself is an example of green commitment, with a design focused on energy savings and environmental respect. The required electricity comes from solar panels, reducing the environmental impact of the activity.
The wooden barrels, essential for the refinement of Freisa and Barbera, rest in premises where the lava stone of the surrounding walls creates an ideal environment, characterized by a high humidity percentage. This aspect promotes optimal wine aging, giving them complexity and distinctive character.
In summary, the Dellerba winery not only produces high-quality wines but does so with an ecological awareness that is reflected in every stage of the process, contributing to a new and fascinating chapter in the winemaking history of the Pinerolo territory.
